Welcome to Body Yoga

I am Liana Angeli, Hatha Yoga Instructor and a certified British Wheel of Yoga Teacher. My journey with yoga started in 2003 when I joined a little gym and started going to yoga classes. Having been working at a primary school as a learning support and teaching yoga for fun on Friday afternoons, I was inspired by one of the children to take yoga seriously. I've enrolled myself on to RYT 200 hours Hatha Yoga course and got qualified. In March 2014 I was certified with The British Wheel of Yoga Accredited Teaching Diploma which I am very proud of and currently I am continuing to teach yoga classes at Wesley Hall on Wednesday evenings. I also teach privately on a one to one basis. I am very passionate about teaching yoga.

There are so many benefits of yoga which I have experienced myself, such as: better breathing, better posture, a calmer and peaceful attitude to life through meditation and postures, and teaching others is an absolute joy. As Cybele Tomlinson quoted:
"Yoga is about clearing away whatever is in us that prevents our living in the most full and whole way. With yoga, we become aware of how and where we are restricted in body, mind and heart and how gradually to open and release these blockages. As these blockages are cleared, our energy is freed. We start to feel more harmonious, more at one with ourselves, our lives begin to flow or we begin to flow more in our lives."

The classes I teach are Hatha Yoga classes. They include stretches, breathing, relaxation and other techniques. These classes are suitable for all levels and abilities. Please click on yoga classes page for times and more information.
